Story - 'The Libertines'

I was asked to spend some time hanging out with The Libertines as their new hotel, The Albion Rooms, was coming to completion.

The goal was to achieve an intimate set of images portraying a different side of the band as they began writing their new material following a lengthy break. It was nice to go back to my routes with a small crew capturing the images in an almost reportage type of a style of shooting.

The fans usually only get to see the band in their usual ‘live' or ‘promo’ situations, so it was nice to hear how well the images have been received showing this side of the group.

Shot mostly in their own studio I was given full reigns to wander around the hotel and studio before it’s official opening. This just before their recent comeback with the new material onto the circuit.
