Story - 'The Magical Kite Maker'

In the mountain village where Yufei grew up, there lived a magical kite maker.

He was a master craftsman, blending colourful fabrics and seasoned wood, to create mythological creatures that banked and swooped in the thin, cold air high above the roof tops.

As a child, Yufei could only dream about owning such a kite, but he loved to watch them dance among the clouds.

Years later, and now living far away in the city, Yufei decided to return to his birthplace with his son, Tianyu, and buy one of the magical kites for him.

‘It’s a long way, Tianyu. And a difficult journey. But we can do it.’
